Southern Crescent Youth Orchestra

The Southern Crescent Symphony is pleased to announce the formation of the Southern Crescent Youth Orchestra. The orchestra is designed to meet the performing needs of advanced students from area school orchestra programs and private studios.

Membership in the orchestra is open to string players with at least three years of experience who successfully pass the entrance audition. Audition requirements include a solo of the student’s choice, sightreading and the following scales: violin: 3 octave G and A major, viola and cello: 3 octave C and D major, bass: 2 octave F and G major.

Conductors include Richard Bell, Ed Davis and Carl Rieke. Members of the Southern Crescent Symphony will provide coaching for each of the sections. If you have questions please contact Richard Bell at 770-722-5708.
